An Inner Discovery Journey for Emotional Release Through Watercolor
A 7-day self-guided practice using watercolor as a gentle tool for emotional release, reflection, and finding the beauty in every situation through art.
The Quiet Practice
An Inner Discovery Journey for Emotional Release Through Watercolor
The Quiet Practice is a 7-day self-guided watercolor experience designed to support emotional release, reflection, and inner discovery. Each day centers on a different emotion-grief, heartbreak, the body, the nervous system, clarity and compassion using watercolor as a gentle way to move feeling rather than suppress it.
Through painting sessions led by Kris Keys, you are invited to slow down and allow emotions to pass through gestural movement and creativity. You are not asked to explain what you feel. You are not asked to fix it. Instead, you are guided to notice how beauty and joy can exist alongside your emotions—and how clarity often emerges when we slow down and tap in deeper.
This practice was created from lived experience. I learned how to overcome illness, loss, heartbreak, uncertainty and still choose beauty using art as a tool. The videos will be released all at once beginning February 20, 2026. You are encouraged to move one day at a time, allowing space between sessions for reflection and integration. Then, you’ll have a lifetime access to rewatch anytime you need emotional clarity.

Day 1: Safety + Nervous System
You begin by slowing the body and breath, allowing the nervous system to settle. This day creates the container for everything that follows.

Day 2 – Grief ( Remembrance and Release)
This section helps you to let your emotions about grief move without judgement. This practice honors what has been loved, lost, or left unsaid. This will help you see beauty in loss, and gently help you to get through it.

Day 6: Compassion (Self-forgiveness + Care)
Compassion begins when we soften toward the parts of ourselves we once tried to hide. This session encourages us to live boldly by painting boldly. This teaches us how to hold our own stories with patience instead of pressure or shame.

Day 7: Beauty (Integration + Seeing Clearly)
In this practice, you will gather the colors, emotions, and lessons from your journey and allow them to meet on the page. Through watercolor, you’ll explore how healing is not about becoming someone new, but about integrating who you have always been into something whole, layered, and deeply alive.
